Applications now open for the Mandela Scholarship fund. This scholarship fund is specially designed for exchange and study abroad students from South Africa who would like to study at Leiden University for one semester. The scholarship value will be awarded for a maximum of five months

Student Abroad
- Tuition fee: actual fee
- International travel costs: €1000
- Living allowance: €800 per month (max 5 months)
- Insurance : will be sponsored by AON students and arranged by students and educational affairs
Exchange Students
- International travel cost: €1000
- Living allowance: €800 per month (max 5 months)
- Insurance: will be sponsored by AON students insurance and arranged by students and Educational affairs
ELIGIBILITY
- Permanent resident of South Africa
- Enrolled at a South African University
- Committed to returning to their country after their study period at Leiden University
- Willing to upgrade or extend their knowledge in order to make a contribution towards the development of South Africa
