The UN Major Group Children and Youth (MGCY) is the officially recognised space within UN process for Sustainable Development to facilitate the voice of children and young people. Behind the scenes, the MGCY DRR Task Force along with Youth Beyond Disasters have been been active for the past year in mobilising youth towards DRR. The Global Call which will be distributed today for Regional Focal Points represents one very significant step in our journey – one we would be blessed to have you on board.
MGCY DRR are looking for 2 young people from each region and up to 30 years ofage in supporting to lead our UN MGCY DRR Regional Coordination Teams, together with partners from major youth constituencies, civil society and other stakeholders.
