Applications are now open for the 2026 ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID) Young Professional Programme. The ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID) is recruiting young graduates to join the Bank as Young Trainee Professional Staff at its headquarters in Lomé, Togo.
Selected candidates will initially receive a two-year fixed-term contract, with a six-month probationary period. The notice states that where performance during probation is satisfactory, the appointment will be converted to an open-ended contract, making the candidate a permanent member of EBID staff.
Trainees will rotate through different Bank departments and work under senior staff to gain exposure to EBID’s activities, policies and programmes.
WORTH
Young Professionals will be treated as professional staff of EBID and receive conditions corresponding to Grade P1-1 on the Bank’s staff classification and salary scale.
In addition to salary, the notice specifies benefits including post-adjustment allowance, housing and transport allowance, family grant where applicable, pension scheme membership, and insurance coverage.
ELIGIBILITY
- Be a citizen of an ECOWAS Member State.
- Be under 30 years old at the time of recruitment.
- Hold a Master’s degree or equivalent qualification relevant to the Bank’s activities.
- Have strong analytical, organizational and research skills.
- Be able to work effectively under pressure and in a multicultural environment.
- Have good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint.
- Be fluent in English, French or Portuguese, with working knowledge of one of the other two languages.
