Generation – Ghana Remote and Online Work Project (GROW) 2024 for young Ghanaians (Fully Funded)

With operations across 17 countries, Generation has recently started operations in Ghana and, in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation and local delivery partners MEST Africa and the Soronko Academy, launched the “Ghana Remote and Online Work Project – GROW” initiative.

“GROW” is a coalition-driven project that will up-skill young Ghanaian women, and men, to work in remote professions by delivering short and intensive training, offering support in securing job and freelance opportunities, creating scalable employment opportunities within remote work, and driving economic mobility for young people and their families.

• Successful candidates will be provided with training tools: A laptop and an internet connection.
• Hard and Soft Skills: Candidates will be exposed to critical technical and soft skills, tools, and resources required to thrive in their chosen programmes.
• Coaching and Mentorship: Candidates will meet, engage, and learn from the instructors and mentors.
• Community & networking: Successful candidates will connect with one another and nurture rewarding relationships that will accelerate their tech career.
• Post-Programme Support: After graduation, mentors and instructors continue to check in with alums
• Web Developer graduates will be supported to secure freelance opportunities within remote work
• Digital Customer Service graduates will be supported to secure in-person or remote work opportunities (candidates must be open to work on day and night shifts)

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible, you must:

• Be 18-35 years old
• Be a Ghanaian living in the Greater Accra area (new regions will be available in 2024)
• Hold a degree from a university, college, technical training, or vocational institutes
• Possess a good proficiency in the English language
