In line with the call for citizens’ action, YouthHubAfrica is rolling out applications to participate in a 4-week online session on community-based social activism for change using impactful methods. These sessions are part of the numerous activities we will be conducting in the YOU MATTER IN THIS MATTER project which is being implemented by four Organizations in three states of Nigeria including the Federal Capital Territory.
We hope that by the end of these sessions the capacity of young Nigerians will be built in the areas of youth participation in governance and policymaking.
The #EndSARS movement forced national attention on unending issues of police brutality and poor governance. The response across levels of government provides a sudden opportunity to ensure aggrieved persons, especially youths and the vulnerable are heard.
It is against this background that we have seen the need to build the capacity of young Nigerians through an online course to help address the underrepresentation of young persons in the country
WORTH
- The duration of this training is 4 weeks
- The training will involve virtual sessions on Zoom and WhatsApp.
ELIGIBILITY
People who should take part in the course:
- Youth: Young Nigerians between ages 18 to 35 including rural youth, youth living with disabilities, informal young workers, and young women
- Youth workers: People who work directly with young people in their social, psychological, and educational development
- Youth leaders: People who lead youth groups, youth movements, youth-focused organization’s among others.
