In recent years, there has been a growing interest in the non-profit sector among young people in Nigeria. Many seek opportunities to gain experience and contribute to societal development through non-profit work. However, there need to be more structured programs that provide comprehensive training and support for individuals seeking to start or work in non-profit organizations.

The YHA Social Impact Academy for aspiring non-profit professionals in Nigeria is an initiative that will provide individuals with the necessary skills, knowledge, and network to impact the non-profit sector positively. The program’s focus on Media and Society, Governance and Accountability, and other related issues will give participants a broad understanding of Nigeria’s non-profit sector and societal issues. Through the program, individuals will have the opportunity to connect with like-minded professionals and develop a support network that will contribute to the growth and sustainability of the non-profit sector in Nigeria.

  • Applicants must be aged 18- 35 years.
  • Applicants must be based in Abuja, Nigeria.
  • Applicants must be able to meet 90% attendance of classes.
