2019 Scholarships

The Renewable Energy Technology Training Institute (RETTI) invites applications for the 2019 Solar PV / Inverter Design and Installation Training in Lagos, Nigeria. Through their Solar Up Nigeria (SUN) Initiative they have partnered with BFA Foundation to provide scholarships for women to join their upcoming weeklong training program on Solar PV Systems Design and Installation coming up on 25th – 29th November.

Renewable Energy Technology Training Institute is working to train and groom a new generation of skilled and competent workers including women for the renewable energy industry and raise entrepreneurs who will drive the market commercially through own solar businesses.

WORTH

Scholarship covers course, training materials, lunch, examination and certification. If selected, arrangements for accommodation will be made for those who are based outside of Lagos State.

ELIGIBILITY

RETTI is looking to fund women who would like to gain the skills to be competent for employment in the solar industry that is to work as a solar designer or installer for a solar company.

Specifically, they are looking to fund women:

  • Ages 18-30 yrs
  • Currently studying a science or Engineering course or have graduated but looking to advance their career in the solar sector
  • Interested in gaining the skills to be competent for employment in the solar industry ie. to work as a solar designer or installer for a solar company. Preferably women with a science or engineering background who can perform well and can then be employed by solar companies after their training.

    Good day sir,
    I got this advert notice only but yesterday. And last night I was trying to apply and register, only to realise i wasn’t with my credentials (because I was away from home). Before i could get home (night), and only to reapply this morning, and i’m told ‘It has closed’.
