The university of Waikato is accepting applications for Sir William Gallagher Cyber Security Scholarship for a master’s program. The scholarship is open to domestic students at the Faculty of Computing and Mathematical Sciences.
Faculty of Computing and Mathematical Sciences aims to prepare students for a wide variety of careers, equipping them with the skills for academic and professional success.
The purpose of the Sir William Gallagher Cyber Security Scholarship is to assist students to undertake a Master of Cyber Security (MCS) at the University of Waikato.
WORTH
- The value of the Scholarship will be NZ$25,000 for students undertaking an 180-point MCS and NZ$20,000 for a 120-point MCS.
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be accepted into, and enroll full-time in, a Master of Cyber Security at the University of Waikato
- Be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
- The recipient must enroll in either COMP592 (60 points), COMP593 (90 points) or COMP594 (120 points) and undertake an industry-based research project with Gallagher.
- Throughout the course of the research project, the recipient may have the opportunity to gain work experience with Gallagher. This would be paid employment outside the scope of this Scholarship. The days and hours of any such employment will be discussed and mutually agreed by the student and Gallagher and will not be at the expense of the student’s research and/or study
