University of Aberdeen invites applications from qualified Nigerian students who are normally resident in Nigeria, to apply for the 2014 West Africa Merit Scholarship. Applicants must be commencing a full Master’s programme in the College of Life Sciences and Medicine or the College of Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Aberdeen I September 2014.

ELIGIBILITY
- Candidates are required to hold the equivalent of a 1st Class British Honours degree or better from a recognized Nigerian/Ghanaian University.
- One would have applied to the University of Aberdeen and been offered a place starting in September 2014.
- You must also be a private funded student, and not in receipt of any financial assistance from the Nigerian/Ghanaian Government.
- The scholarship can only be held by a student of the university commencing study in September 2014 – it cannot be transferred to another institutions.
- Priority will be given to students who do not already have additional scholarship funding (student loans excluded) and to those who have firmly accepted either a conditional or unconditional offer for a place at the university at the time the selection committee meets.
