Men have been identified as the major cause of sexual and gender-based violence in Nigeria and across the world and it is very important to seek for valuable ways to engage men as allies to end all forms of violence against women and girls while promoting their sexual and reproductive health and rights.
The Men’s Solidarity Week for Ending VAWG and promotion of Sexual and Reproductive Health and right will provide the platform for every male from all walks of life and from across FCT to show solidarity and pledge their support to end all forms of violence against women and girls while promoting their sexual and reproductive health and rights as well as putting an end to all forms of harmful practices against women and girls.
To this end, YouthHubAfrica will be working with its Male Champions and Advocates to set aside a week dedicated to mobilising men to speak with one voice and agree to put an end to gender-based violence and promote the reproductive and sexual health and rights of women and girls.
The Men’s Summit will be an avenue for men to speak up, deliberate and commit to ending all forms of violence against women and girls in Nigeria.
