There is an inherent beauty about Africa, about Nigeria; the landscape, richly blessed and pregnant with resources bestowed by nature; the people, hardworking and resilient in the face of challenges, refusing to neither break nor cower; the opportunities littered around us, some encased in obstacles that seem impossible to surmount.
The country faces challenges in many germane areas of growth and national development. We know the problems. We see the problems. We live the problems.
However, it is unproductive to continue to accuse generations past for our problems as a nation. Maybe we would be right but if we do not seek to redress the situation, then our children will have the same stories about us, a generation that left their motherland in the same state they inherited it.
We need to think. We need to plan. And then, we need to act.
This is what IDEACON is about. An idea conference that gives young Nigerians the platform to come together and connect through simple ideas. Ideas that are working all over the world. It is a movement that provides a platform for ordinary Nigerians to speak about the things they have done and seek to do. #Ideacon2016 seeks to share innovate ideas, inform and ultimately inspire.
