The civic movement Let’s Do It, World! in collaboration with the Senegalese American Bilingual School (Let’s do it Senegal) and with the support of Senegalese Ministry of Environmental and Sustainable Development and Estonian Development Cooperation Fund invites you to: The second grand African gathering of Let’s Do It, World! That will be held December 4-7 in Senegal. We would be very honored if you participate in our conference “The Challenges Towards Environmental Sustainability: Waste Management in Africa”.
Let’s get together to see how we can step forward with our activities together – come and speak your mind, your dreams, your experiences and your ideas – so that we can work with these as an unstoppable global team and find solutions for environmental problems through civic initiative. If you are not part of the movement but care for your environment, you are very welcome, too. During the gathering, following themes will be discussed and workshops will take place:
- Sharing of various clean-up experiences;
- Ideas for waste management and creating green spaces;
- The role of environmental education and civic action;
- Hygiene and sanitary challenges in Africa;
- As well as ideas for future actions, team building, media and communications, digital waste mapping, logistics, coordination of volunteers, finances, partnerships with companies, main challenges and solutions, sustainable development, environmental awareness. You will also get a chance to meet with the fellow Let’s Do It! initiators and organizers from Africa. People from the global Let’s Do It! team, the initiators of the movement, will be present at the conference.
