YouthHubAfrica with support from the UNFPA Spotlight Initiative is implementing the STEAM flagship Programme for women and girls. The intervention is aimed at fostering an integrated approach to life skills and 21st-century entrepreneurship training for women and girls which includes manufacturing; business management; use of Information Technology,  networking with access to export markets;  decision making; confidence building, sexual and reproductive health information and strategies to prevent gender-based and harmful practices.

The goal is to empower women and girls as a key strategy in ending gender-based violence and harmful practices. Women Empowerment involves equipping women with information, skills and the capacity to have control over their lives, to make decisions particularly the ones that affect them and their family including their sexual and reproductive health and rights and education; occupying leadership positions and participating in the governance of their communities. Gender equality and economic empowerment should go together. Since the Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW)many women continue to be abused, battered, and marginalized in their communities. It is evident that women with resources and economic power are able to speak for themselves and challenge forces that tend to violate their rights

YouthHubAfrica hereby invites reputable companies with relevant experience to tender for the long term recovery initiative for women and girls which is basically training on the following:

  • Bags making
