Through the programme, the NYFF seeks to support young people in Nigeria for outcome-driven policy engagements by mainstreaming their voices into the development of Nigeria’s short, medium and long-term Agenda,” National Development Plan 2021-2025, or the Nigeria Agenda 2050″ and into the implementation of the “African Union Agenda 2063, Africa-EU Partnership, AfCFTA and the UN SDGs”. The working groups will consist of 6 sub-regional groups and one national Group whose members will emerge from the sub-regional groups and will deliver on the outcome of contributing to the Global, national and sub-regional/state equivalents.
ELIGIBILITY
- We are looking for exceptional young people who identify with the youth constituency in their sub-region and are well acquainted with their community. They might be under-graduate/graduate students, early/mid-career, high potential policy-makers, and professionals working in national, state or local authorities, young leaders in the civil society, academia, media and private sector.
- Young leaders of socio-political groups and those who represent special interest groups.
- Potential Imaginative Futures Working Group Members must have a track record of excellence in their chosen career endeavour, the record of civic participation and an unyielding belief in the potential of Nigeria’s youth.
