You are invited you to participate in the International Workshop on Climate Change “Youth Action on Climate Change”, tentatively scheduled to be held on 21st – 24th May 2015 at Melaka, Malaysia.
The International Workshop on Climate Change “Youth Action on Climate Change” is organized by World Youth Foundation in collaboration with Ministry of Youth and Sports Malaysia, Malaysian National Commission for UNESCO, United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), Pembangunan Pertanian Melaka Sdn Bhd and various other agencies.
The International Workshop on Climate Change will provide the next generation of leaders, especially youth to be directly involved with MDG 7 – ensure environmental sustainability. Recognizing that youth participation is fundamental for accelerating the process of MDGs and the post-2015 agenda; youth engagement throughout the International Workshop will be enhanced to ensure that views and contributions are acknowledged and strengthened.
This International Workshop will examine evidence of climate change, its natural and human causes, its ecosystemic impacts and its human impacts. The International Workshop will also concern itself with technological, social, ethical and political responses to climate change.
The International Workshop aims to provide a platform for young people to discuss, understand, share, find solutions and develop strategies on issues pertaining to climate change and sustainable development that can be implemented at country level.
