In the draft decision on the modalities for the negotiations of the post-2015 development agenda, the provisional indicative roadmap on page 3 indicates that the 17-20 February session will focus on the Declaration section of the post-2015 agenda.
If you are a representative of a civil society organization, non-governmental organization, or an organization participating in the Major Groups, and are interested in speaking during this interactive dialogue, and do not require travel funding to participate, please apply by 11:59pm NY time on 8 February. A previous call for nominations for this session was issued at the beginning of January focused on identifying 4 speakers to receive travel funding; the 4 speakers were recently chosen by the February stakeholder Steering Committee.
All previous applicants that indicated they did not require travel funding to attend the February session will remain in consideration for available unfunded speaking slots.
ELIGIBILITY
- You must be a representative of a civil society organization, or an organization that participates in the Major Groups, and is officially authorized by their organization/network to speak on the organization/network’s behalf.
- You must have excellent competency with issues under discussion for the post-2015 development agenda, or related processes, and experience with presenting these issues in public fora;
- You must have demonstrated ability to engage constructively with a variety of stakeholders, with openness to receive input from broader civil society or social movements;
- You should be comfortable speaking publicly;
- You must be able to be in New York, NY from 17-20 February 2015 so that you are able to participate in collective preparations for the interactive dialogue;
- You must have a visa for travel to the USA if needed.
