The International Development Research Centre (IDRC) is seeking applicants from research-focused organizations from academia, private sector and research institutes from around the world for its “Livestock Vaccine Innovation Fund” with an aim to support the use of the latest cutting-edge innovations to accelerate the development of new vaccines against livestock diseases.
WORTH
- IDRC intends to provide grant funding for up to 8 research projects of up to a maximum of CA$ 1,500,000 each for 24 months.
- Projects with promising results in the first 24 months and with a clear plan to build partnerships with organization in sub-Saharan Africa, South or Southeast Asia may be eligible for an additional 18 months of funding through a separate competitive call.
- Proposals must include an overall plan of activities for the full 42 months but will receive funding only for the first 24 months.
ELIGIBILITY
- The proposed research focuses on vaccine development for one or more of the eligible livestock diseases of the LVIF.
- Applicants from research-focused organizations from academia, private sector and research institutes are eligible for this global call.
- Applicants from the United Nations system cannot apply to this Call as lead or co-applicants. UN organizations may participate as collaborating organizations.
- Applicants must come from one of the shortlisted Eligible countries
