Capacity Building fund is dedicated to supporting training and skills acquisition along the entire value chain of the Nigerian movie industry. Grants are given to existing practitioners for short, intensive training courses in Nigeria and/or abroad. Grants are also given to existing public and private training institutions that wish to adhere to global best practices by improving the reach and effectiveness of their training programs through upgrade of existing facilities, procurement of equipment and development of curricula.
Capacity development fund for applicants is dedicated to training and skills acquisition for Nollywood Practitioners in all competencies along the entire value chain of Nigeria’s movie industry such as Scriptwriting, Directing, Production and Production Design, Special Effects, Lighting, Sound, HD Techniques, Acting, Cinematography, Make-Up, Editing, etc.
Training grants are for short, intensive, training courses in Nigeria. However, a limited number of grants for courses outside the country may be available. Please note, that grants are not intended to support University degree programs.
Capacity development fund for institutions provides grants to existing Nigerian-owned private institutes that offer training courses, programs, and technical certification in the movie industry. The capacity building grant may be used to upgrade existing facilities, procure equipment and develop internal capacity to offer a set of courses/training programs, which address key skills gap.
The Fund is open for applications from July 2013 to December 2013. Courses commencing after 31st December are eligible provided the application is received before 31st December 2013.
