The European Union is currently accepting proposals for a programme entitled “Justice, Security, Accountability and Transparency (JSAT) Project” with an aim to improve the living and quality of life of Jamaican citizens by strengthening governance and oversight, with particular regard to the functioning of the security and justice systems.  The Call for Proposals is to support activities-that addresses issues of domestic, sexual and gender-based violence against women.

WORTH

  • Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between EUR100,000 and EUR200,000.

ELIGIBILITY

In order to be eligible for a grant, the lead applicant:

  • Must be a legal person
  • Must be non-profit-making
  • Must be a civil society organisation or an international (inter-governmental) organisation as defined by Article of the Rules of application of the EU Financial Regulation
  • Must be established in a Member State of the European Union or Jamaica (this obligation does not apply to international organisations). Non-Jamaican organisations must act with at least one local co-applicant
  • Must be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary
  • May act individually or with co-applicant(s).
