Background
Youthhubafrica, registered as Youth Foundation for Development, Education and Leadership is a frontline youth advocacy and policy oriented organisation based in Abuja, Nigeria, but programming into Africa and beyond. We have worked with stakeholders to provide advisory and technical support for development communications, the use of social media to drive advocacy and campaigns as well as structuring youth engagements on a national and regional level.
With the mandate to equip and celebrate new generation of African thinkers, leaders and innovators, Youthhubafrica seeks to evaluate its programs and activities so far while developing a 5 year strategic plan.
Objectives
The overall objective of this consultancy is to evaluate YouthhubAfrica’s programs and activities and develop a 5 year strategic plan that will help to fulfil its mandate.
Scope of Work
The scope of work for the Consultant will include but not be limited to:
- Review the vision and mission based on Youthhubafrica mandate;
- Undertake stakeholder mapping and analysis;
- Undertake a situation analysis of Youthhubafrica operations to date;
- Through a consultative process and application of an appropriate tool of analysis, identify focus areas and develop strategic objectives and key result areas for the same;
- Review the institutional capacity, organizational set-up, financial and administrative systems against Youthhubafrica mandate and the identified strategic objectives and key result areas; and make recommendations, if any;
- Propose a strategy for achieving the strategic objectives and key results;
- Develop a Results and Resources Framework for the plan period;
- Hold stakeholder meeting(s) to validate the draft Strategic Plan;
- Finalize Strategic plan and submit to Youthhubafrica.
Deliverables
- A 5-year strategic plan including a results and resources framework
- Report on the process including stakeholder consultations and workshops
Time Span
This assignment is expected to be carried out for a period of 10 man-days

Institutional Arrangements
The Consultant will report directly to the Executive Director of the Youthhubafrica. Youthhubafrica will provide relevant background information and documents necessary for the assignment.
Youthhubafrica shall be responsible for the coordination of meetings and other activities under the Consultancy.
Expertise
- At least five years professional experience in strategic planning and management
- Demonstrated experience in working with NGOs and other stakeholders in non-profit sector development programs especially in Strategy Plan Development and organisation capacity development.
