The 2013 Bristol Short Story Prize has been won by London-based writer, Paul McMichael for his wonderful story, The House on St. John’s Avenue. Paul was presented with the 1st prize of £1,000 and £150 Waterstone’s Gift Card by our special guest for the evening, Vanessa Gebbie. (photo Barbara Evripidou). Deepa Anappara won 2nd prize for her story The Breakdown and 3rd prize was awarded to Anne Corlett and her story, Why I Waited.
