The Beahrs Environmental Leadership Program (ELP) at UC Berkeley seeks to strengthen the capacities of new generations of environmental leaders around the world through access to state-of-the-art knowledge, and opportunities for peer learning, networking, and collaboration on a continuing basis. ELP leaders are challenged to meet environmental goals with collaborative solutions that also reduce poverty and social conflict.
WORTH
- Access to state-of-the-art knowledge and opportunities for peer learning, networking, and collaboration
- Eight interdisciplinary workshops are designed to focus on innovation and collaboration
- Participants have access to a wide range of UC Berkeley, San Francisco Bay Area and California resources through faculty and guest lectures, debates, panels, case studies, on-campus labs, and field trips
- Internationally recognized UCB faculty and researchers are going to conduct the program
ELIGIBILITY
- Leaders working on sustainable agriculture and food systems, natural resource management, environmental policy, climate change and community-based development
- Proficiency in English to allow full participation in course discussions;
- A resumé that demonstrates strong professional experience and leadership potential
- Affiliation with an institution concerned with environmental management/sustainable development
