Are you passionate about media production?, here is an opportunity to work with BBC. Over the course of 18 months, you’ll get first-hand work experience and hands-on training in a wide range of production skills. You will also be working towards a qualification, a Certificate in Creative Content and Production, and the completion of a Level 3 Apprenticeship (Broadcast Production Assistant or Junior Content Producer apprenticeship) delivered by our experienced external Training Provider.
WORTH
- A starting salary of £14,400 per year (pro-rated), those based in London will receive £19,082 per year, followed by an annual increase
- 25 days holiday a year. As well as national bank holidays, you’ll also get an extra day-off between Christmas and New Year
- Gold-standard industry training delivered by the BBC Academy from specialists and senior BBC and freelance production staff
- Completion of a Level 3 production apprenticeship supported by an experienced and established training provider

ELIGIBILITY
- Passionate about getting new voices, fresh ideas and previously untold stories to BBC audiences online, through social media, in podcasts or on TV or radio
- You love using your creative thinking skills to develop ideas for content, especially for social media, and you have a good understanding of its various platforms…maybe you’re already creating your own social media content and publishing it online
- Full of ideas about, or maybe already skilled in, making and creating content in a practical way through operating technical equipment in sound or vision
- Eager to get hands-on experience in how a radio studio works and you love the potential that sound and radio have to reach the audience
- Up-to-date with new technology and full of ideas on how to make it work to tell stories on the BBC’s digital platforms
- Interested in, and understand how, people ‘consume content’ – do you watch, listen or engage with lots of different content on a daily basis and can you easily talk about what you like and dislike, or what works and doesn’t work for different types of audiences?
- Aware of BBC content and programmes as well of content in the wider media industry
- A great team-player – on this scheme, you will be placed on real programmes with our production teams, learning and gaining experience every day
- Keen to learn and you have the motivation and ability to combine working in a professional media environment with apprenticeship study and additional training
- Highly motivated, resilient and can rise to challenges that come your way
- Flexible and adaptable – due to the pace of work, learning and production demands, working at the BBC isn’t always a Monday to Friday, 9 to 5 job
