The recent Benue flood is another call for all to have a second thought about Climate change, attitude to environmental degradation, waste disposal, emergency response management and other contributory factors to the harsh reality flooding.
The rapid response by well-meaning citizens to the 2017 Benue Flood has also underscored the importance of citizens participation in sustainable development and emergency management in our communities. We only hope the Nigeria Government and Leadership will rise to its primary responsibility and act with urgency during hazardous times.
