AJ+ are on the hunt for six seriously stellar young people from around the globe to make up their first class of AJ+ Fellows.

The Fellowship is a one-year gig, it’s paid, and it’s an opportunity unlike anything else, an opportunity to be at the heart of the next generation of storytellers. Throughout the year, you’ll work with and learn from our core AJ+ team. You’ll join them in their adventure as they introduce AJ+ to the world, and you’ll be a valuable part of making sure this introduction unfolds with fireworks.

WORTH

  • Fellows will spend 2-3 weeks with AJ+ in San Francisco, then head back home and work remotely from there.
  • For their entire region, Fellows the eyes and ears of AJ+ on the ground, and will be in daily contact with AJ+ in San Francisco.
  • It is full-time and full on.
  • It’s also an incredible opportunity to sharpen skills, work with a brilliant team, and be in a position that permits a felllow to empower and give voice to others.

ELIGIBILITY

  • Applicant is passionate about empowerment and a wizard on social media.
  • On top of all the big news stories, but just as sharply tuned in to the micro-conversations happening across your region that aren’t making headlines.
  • Can identify and effectively interact with a range of influencers across your region.
  • Can write a punchy tweet, and can engage people in and help drive a substantive conversation online.
  • Although PhD or decades of experience is not needed, even a gazillion Twitter followers, but an applicant do have to be downright obsessed with the news and trends in his/her region and – just as importantly – with the pursuit of unearthing untold stories.
  • Applicant will also ideally have some experience under his/her belt that shows them he/she can do the job, whether that’s activism, reporting, blogging or something else altogether.
