Rwanda Institute for Conservation Agriculture (RICA) is preparing students to pursue ideas that can revolutionize Rwanda’s agriculture sector, all while honoring our history and culture.
We seek talented young leaders with a passion to be innovators and entrepreneurs.
WORTH
- At the end of the 3-year program, all RICA students earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Conservation Agriculture.
- Applicants can also choose a specialty in Animal production, Crop production, Mechanization, or Food processing.
- RICA also prepares students with the skills to be successful in business: leadership, entrepreneurship, and communication. They also are trained in the principles of Conservation Agriculture and One Health, which are critical to sustaining Rwanda’s Agricultural sector.
ELIGIBILITY
Here are the criteria to be eligible for admission:
- Rwandan Citizen
- Only applicants who sat for their national examination in the year 2019 are eligible to apply
- Demonstrated leadership and entrepreneurship potential
- Demonstrate a passion for agriculture
- Demonstrated English proficiency in RICA’s language examinations
- Minimum National Exam score of 40 (REB) or 36 (WDA)
- Minimum 2 Principal Passes on National Examinations
