The two-week course on Gender-Responsive Economic Policy Management aims at providing policymakers and development practitioners with the required skills and knowledge that are needed to identify and address gender biases in the economic sectors and to analyze economic policies and budgets from a gender perspective. The course is bilingual (English and French) and is delivered by the African Institute for Economic Development and Planning (IDEP).

The course targets economic policymakers, development planners, researchers, in particular middle and high level public and private sectors officials from national governments, Regional Economic Communities (RECs), management level staff members of national, regional and international civil society organisations and other officials engaged in gender advocacy who want to increase their capacity to analyse and mainstream gender issues in economic policy formulation and management.

COURSE TUITION FEE: USD 2,500 (PS: This fee excludes air travel and subsistence costs)

SCHOLARSHIP: a limited number of partial and full scholarships is offered to those admitted
to participate in the short training course. Thus, self-sponsored candidates are also encouraged to
apply to this capacity development and training programme. Please note that priorities are given
to self-sponsored applicants.
