World Bank Results At A Glance

The achievement of tangible results in low- and middle-income countries has long been the World Bank Group’s primary goal. Yet the recent financial crisis—the worst since the Bank Group’s founding–demonstrated why international cooperation matters more than ever. This reality has prompted an even greater focus on achieving and demonstrating results.

World Bank Results at a Glance highlights profiles of more than 450 World Bank results spread across more than 85 countries and involving a diverse range of projects over the last decade. It includes profiles and data collected from projects in which the World Bank partnered with developing countries toward progress on one or more of the Millennium Development Goals and on projects that advanced sectoral or thematic work in core international development areas. It also contains profiles showing how the World Bank has contributed to improvement in the lives of the world’s poorest citizens.
