Following a successful first and second batch editions, The Bridge Leadership Foundation has commenced the third batch of its Mentoring Programme. Selected through an application process of over 170 applications, 23 Mentees were successfully screened and inducted into the third batch of the programme.

Self-Discovery, Communication Skills Development, Understanding Mentoring and Leveraging on a mentoring relationship were some of the modules treated in the intensive capacity development exercise in preparation for the six (6)-month mentoring period, during which each individual would be matched with a mentor.

The Mentoring programme provides a grooming platform for young people to achieve growth in their career and businesses. Speaking at the training of Mentees, the  Programmes Officer of the foundation Esther Eshiet stated,“ We are excited to launch the third batch of the Mentoring Programme.  We are driven by the immense success stories and impact of the previous batches.”

b3Seun Ogunleye of Thots & Works, a facilitator at the training stated,  “ Mentoring enables you have clear set goals and offers you the helping hand you need to move to your next step in life.” Pastor Akomaye Ugar, a Mentor in the TBLF Mentoring Programme also informed the participants that “A mentor provides activation power in you; hence you must have a plan with set goals of what you intend to achieve.”

While facilitating a session on Leveraging on your Mentoring Relationship, the Senior Consultant, Strategy and External relations at ThistlePraxis Consulting, Ms Emilia Asim-Ita, opined that “The value of your mentoring relationship will depend on yourself awareness, skills, intelligence, commitment, attitude and success.”
