Youthhubafrica organised a twitter conference to mark the International Youth Day which held on August 12, 2013.
The conference had as panelists, Dr. Djibril Diallo a Senior Adviser to the UNAIDS Executive Director, Babtunde Rosanwo, a PhD student in Poland, Maureen Agena, a Development Communications Expert working in Netherlands, Zied Mhirsi, a US trained Tunisian Public Health Expert and Medical Doctor; and Erasmus Mweene, a Youth Development Professional based in Zambia.
The conference with the theme: Youth Migration: Moving Development Forward attracted participants who joined online on twitter from across the continent and beyond using the hashtag #IYDAfrica to engage with the panelists and discuss among each other.
The conference which had a clear agenda was moderated by Ruth Aine, Youthhubafrica’s Ugandan Correspondent @ruthaine and Rotimi Olawale, Youthhubafrica’s Co-Founder @rotexonline.
The conference reached over 163,000 twitter users and with a combined exposure of more than 1million. The conference analysis can be viewed here.
