Loughborough University–UK is accepting ‘Loughborough University Graduate School Development Trust Africa Scholarships’ applications for the academic session 2014/15 from African postgraduate students currently permanently residing in Africa. Students with exceptional academic achievement (normally a first class honors degree), can apply for the scholarships program with evidence. The scholarships is being awarded to motivate and help the international full time students in their postgraduate studies so they can perform well and get back to their home country with appropriate knowledge and skill to make greater contributions.
Loughborough University Graduate School Development Trust Africa Scholarships is an open competition that covers 100% of the course fees for a year in chosen postgraduate course. Students applying for the scholarships must have received the offer letter from (conditional or unconditional) university while applying. Incomplete application forms will not be considered. Student with conditional offer letter, if awarded scholarships, must fulfill all the conditions before receiving the award otherwise it will be terminated. Application form completed with clear information depicting the applicant’s ability and motivation has greater chance to get the award.
All the students who apply for scholarships will receive an email stating whether her/his application is shortlisted or unsuccessful.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant must possess conditional or unconditional offer letter from the university in full-time taught postgraduate course at the time of application.
- Currently permanently residing in Africa.
- Evidence of exceptional academic achievement.
- Commitment to return to and the evidence of ability and commitment to make significant contribution to their home country after completion of the postgraduate program.
