The International Association for Impact Assessment
(IAIA) is pleased to announce that stipends may be
available for a limited number of participants from
African countries to attend IAIA12. Funding for this
Capacity Building Stipend program is provided by
AusAID and the Australian Government.
Who would qualify for the stipends?
Applicants must be:
• African nationals employed and living in Africa
• Working for government, industry, or
NGOs/civil society
• Working with or in the extractive industries
sector in the field of impact assessment (IA) or
related areas (e.g., IA professionals; those
commissioning or responding to IAs; those
involved in environmental management or social
development to build mining, oil, and gas sector
governance and capability in Africa).
Priority will be given to female applicants, to government
employees, and to people from Ghana, Liberia,
Mozambique, Nigeria and Zambia.
