Google Map Maker MapUp is an opportunity for anyone interested in mapping using Google Mapmaker to form mapping teams and show/share their local knowledge by mapping places in their locality, exchange ideas and win while having fun. MapUp Event is geared towards having fun while adding schools, roads, government offices, bars, hospitals among other points of interest on maps.
This Abuja event will show participants how to map different places, draw roads, add categories and discuss other features.This will enable them become citizen cartographers and improve the quality of maps and local information. The event hopes to make particularly Abuja, a better mapped city with relevant and recent local information such as roads, schools, hospitals, banks,hotels,police stations and such other important places entered by users, having local knowledge.
