Applications are now open for the 2025 Africa Check Fellowship Programme. Africa Check and Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung invite African fact-checkers and journalists with a keen interest in fact-checking to apply for a 12-day fact-checking fellowship program in November 2025. The programme will be held in English at Africa Check’s offices in Kenya, Nairobi.
The Fact-Checking Fellowship Programme is a 12-day intensive training designed specifically for journalists who are committed to truth-based reporting and who actively engage in or aspire to engage in fact-checking practices. As misinformation and disinformation continue to pose serious threats to democratic dialogue, public health, and social cohesion, the programme aims to equip participants with the competencies necessary to meet these challenges head
ELIGIBILITY
Applicants should be:
- Currently working in a media organization or as freelancers with a focus on news reporting or investigative journalism
- Passionate about promoting accurate, ethical journalism and holding power to account
- Willing to commit fully to the 12-day programme in Nairobi
- Proficient in English (spoken and written)
