Afroped, a weblog project that provides inquisitive young African individuals a platform and opportunity to share their opinions and the chance to be heard by an audience of their understanding and appreciation, is organizing a blog post competition in furtherance of her core values of believing that every African youth has something important or information desired to share to a wider readership but has no opportunity and proper platform to do so.
The Blog Post competition will seek to answer the following questions as well as know the steps that Africa as a whole or specific African countries should take to address any of the challenges and how should young Africans contribute in this process: What is your perspective on any of the following issues in Africa:
Health Care Services and General Sanitation
Girl Child Education and Early/Child Marriage
Potential of Sports and The Status of Sporting Infrastructure
Mining and Agriculture
Infrastructure, Development and The Economy
Innovation and Entrepreneurship
Aid and Volunteerism
Culture and Religious Pluralism
Prostitution and Drug/Substance Abuse
Sexuality, Gay Rights and Same Sex Marriage
The Continued Effects of War and Terrorism

- All posts that are entered will be moderated and published as they come in during the submission period and will still be judged for the top 10 equally when the competition closes.
ELIGIBILITY
- Africans and non-Africans living on the African continent aged between 18 to 30 years.
- Young Africans and other young people living outside the continent will not be eligible for the competition but are still welcome to submit a post based on the target themes in the “Blog Post Question” and these will be published upon moderation on Afroped.
