Malaysian Government is inviting students around the globe planning for postgraduate and post-doctoral program in Malaysia for Malaysia International Scholarship 2014. The major aim of the MIS is to support Malaysian Government’s effort to attract, motivate and retain talented human capital from abroad.
The scholarship covers Air tickets from recipient’s capital city to Malaysia, an approved tuition fees, monthly maintenance allowance, annual grant for books and internal travel, medical/health insurance, installation and termination grant, thesis allowance, and visa. Level of academic achievement, quality of the research proposal and its potential contribution towards advancement of technology and human well-being, and communication skills in English Language will be considered for selection.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Applicants must not be more than 40 years (Postgraduate) and 45 years (Post-doctoral) of age during application.
- Applicants must have obtained a minimum of Second Class Upper (Honors) or a CGPA of 3.5/4.0 at Bachelor Degree Level for Masters Degree applicants and must possess CGPA 3.5/4.0 or very good result at Masters degree level in a similar field of intended PhD study for PhD candidates.
- Must have acquired English Language Proficiency Test – IELTS (with points at least 6.5), or TOEFL (with score at least 580 – paper-based, 230- computer based, or 92- internet-based).
- Must be in excellent health condition as certified by a Certified Doctor/Medical Professional.
- Applicants must have applied for and gained admission to postgraduate and post-doctoral studies in Malaysia.
