Kenyan Female Entrepreneurs are invited to apply for the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) Program 2022. Women-owned microbusinesses can access the knowledge, networks, and access to resources they need to launch and scale successful businesses through the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE).
AWE promotes women’s economic opportunities and ensures they have the capability and resources to participate in the economy, supporting the United States National Strategy on Gender Equity and Equality. AWE combines an online platform called Dream Builder (developed in partnership between Arizona State University’s Thunderbird School of Global Management and global copper mining company Freeport-McMoRan) with in-class mentoring and facilitation.

ELIGIBILITY
- Open to Kenyan women entrepreneurs between 25 years to 45 years and fluent in English.
- Resident in Nairobi, Lamu, Mombasa and Nakuru.
- Have recently started a business and have at least a year experience selling their product or service.
- Have basic computer skills.
- Must be able to commit on average five hours per week to AWE both physically and virtually as required by the program.
- Have a good understanding of written and spoken English.
- Have access to the internet.
