2022 Summer Programs

The awards are given annually for outstanding work by participants in the institute’s Young Scientists Summer Program. They provide financial support for the winners to return to IIASA for an additional three months of research.

The Peccei Award was established in 1984 in recognition of Dr. Aurelio Peccei’s contribution to the understanding of global problems and his efforts to promote multi-national collaborative research.

WORTH

  • The stipend varies slightly among NMOs, but usually it is € 1500 per month plus airfare. If you are not a citizen of or resident in an NMO country you must find alternative funds (either from your home institution or other sources) to finance participation.

ELIGIBILITY

  • No, there is no upper-age limit.
  • The program is designed for PhD students working on a topic compatible with the interdisciplinary IIASA research agenda.
  • Applicants from all countries are welcome, although IIASA gives priority to citizens or residents of National Member Organizations (NMO) countries.

DEADLINE: January 14 2022
