The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is pleased to announce the first Youth4Cyber Call for contributions.
Students are invited to submit contributions for innovative projects in the context of “the future of cybersecurity”. A high-level committee composed by ITU experts, industry and academia
representatives will select the best contributions, which will be collected as an online publication
advertised on the ITU Youth4Cyber webpage. The top 10 authors will be invited to present their
work during an online award ceremony on International Youth day (12 August 2021), which will
bring together the ITU Member States and other stakeholders.
The authors of the three (3) best contributions will be invited to the World Telecommunication
Development Conference (WTDC-21) Youth Summit in Addis Ababa. The winner of the contest will be offered an exclusive paid researching experience at ITU with the cybersecurity division of the Development Sector.
Young researchers who wish to participate must submit contributions for innovative projects in the “future of cybersecurity” using the Youth4Cyber Project document template. The contribution
should give a powerful overview of the proposed project and should include:
• Title of the project
• Author(s) information.
• Introduction
• Problem statement
• The objective of the project
• Practical applications and potential impacts
