2021 Grants

Gender inequity is one of the most urgent challenges we face as a society, and COVID-19 has put the economic future of women and girls at even greater risk. At Google.org, we believe that solving big problems requires collective action, and the people closest to the challenges are often those closest to the solution.

Google wants to support organisations helping women and girls turn their economic potential into power: from programs addressing systemic barriers to economic equality, to those cultivating entrepreneurship, developing financial independence, and more.

WORTH

  • Google.org will provide funding to selected organizations out of a US$25 million fund. Google expects each fund size may range from US$300,000 to US$2 million, but will ultimately be allocated based on project needs.

ELIGIBILITY

  • The Challenge is open to any not-for-profit charity, other not-for-profit organisation, public or private academic or research institution, or for-profit social enterprise company with a project that has an explicit charitable purpose.
  • Google is looking for innovators who understand the needs within both their local communities and countries. Final discretion as to which organisations and which projects are funded is up to Google.org.
  • Your organisation must have a registered office in your country of residence.
  • Organisations located in Crimea, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, or Syria and projects in those countries are not eligible to apply. Unfortunately, individuals without organisational affiliation are ineligible.

DEADLINE: April 19 2021
