UN Climate Change News, 28 June 2018 – To spread awareness and understanding of the relationship between gender and environment, and how to mainstream gender in environmental projects and programs, an open online course on gender and environment is now available. The e-course was recently launched by the Global Environment Facility (GEF), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the GEF Small Grants Programme (SGP) at the sixth GEF Assembly taking place in Danang, Vietnam.
WORTH
- By the end of the course, participants will gain the knowledge and tools necessary to understand the role of gender in environmental projects and programs.
- The e-course is open to the public without charge and is intended to be self-paced.
ELIGIBILITY
- The e-course is aimed at people working on environmental issues in order to improve their understanding of the links between gender and environment and how integrating gender considerations can advance environmental sustainability.
