Bath Flash Fiction’s goal is to promote flash fiction for both writers and readers and to bring the genre to a wider audience. Running a three-times-a-year rolling flash fiction award with substantial prizes and chance of publication gives writers a big incentive to create great flash. And their new novella-in-flash award provides the opportunity to have a longer work released in a quality publication.
WORTH
- The first prize for the novella-in-flash award is £30
- Two runners-up will receive £100 each
- The first prize winner and the two runners-up will be published together in a print and digital anthology
- Each of the three winners will receive five copies of the anthology
ELIGIBILITY
- Entrants must be 16 years or over
- Entry is open to everyone; locally, nationally and internationally
- An entry can only be made by the work’s author
- Novella-in-flash entries must not have been previously published in print or online, been broadcast or won a prize
- Individual pieces from the novella-in-flash entries may have been previously published, however the author must exclusively own all digital and print publishing rights to the piece. In this instance, authors are strongly encouraged to check their position with their current publisher before submission
- Entries can be on any theme or subject but must be original and written in English
- They must also be for adult or young adult readers
- Non-fiction and fiction written for children under 13 years is not eligible
- Simultaneous submission is permitted
- Authors retain full worldwide copyright throughout
